Mrs. Aguilar's Class
Mrs. Aguilar's class is quite large this year! We are a group of 30 4th graders. We are all bilingual, our primary languages being Spanish and English. All of the students speak Spanish as a native language. Some students are from Guatemala or Spain and speak other languages as well. The students actually learn with two different teachers. They spend the morning learning about language arts, writing, and social skills in Spanish. They spend their afternoons learning about science, social studies, health, and math in English. We live in Illinois, a state located in the the upper-middle portion of the United States. We live in an urban area (a city) with a total population of around 40,000.
